The Battle Rages

Well, it’s been a battle but I know that through God we are victorious! The enemy is continuing to throw everything he can against us – from house water leaks to car issues and more – but he will not succeed in moving us from our trust in the Lord. I am convinced that the enemy has stepped up his attacks because the Lord is moving us closer to His end game. Please pray that:

  1. We can stand in faith against the enemies attacks.
  2. The Lord would show Himself mighty to save.
  3. We would honor God through the trials.

Each person’s prayers are greatly coveted and appreciated. I know the Lord will bless you for your faithfulness in praying for us.

Divine Connections

In order for us to continue to “engage” and move forward, we need opportunities to meet with people and groups to share our ideas and get input. We are quickly running out of people to contact, as our pool of connections is small. But we have a big God who has an infinite number of connections, so please pray that:

  1. The people we’ve contacted but who have not responded would connect with us.
  2. God would bring us new “divine connections”.
  3. We would have opportunities to speak to groups of people.

The Journey

As we continue to seek the Lord’s guidance on this road less traveled, we continue to gain new insights and tweak plans and ideas. We found that getting a 501(c)(3) would not be possible for any financing portion of our ministry, but would be pretty straight forward for the training and educational part of the ministry. This also has led us to think of creating a separate financing company (at some point) that would gather investors that would want to invest and help Kingdom businesses get started. It’s something we are still seeking the Lord about as we move forward with what He has shown us so far.

Please pray for:

  1. Wisdom and discernment in where to concentrate our efforts and energy.
  2. Godly counsel and wisdom from those who choose to help us on this journey.
  3. God’s provision and favor to move forward.

Course Correction

After one of our meetings last week, we were challenged with some thoughtful questions, some of which we had been thinking ourselves but not actually discussed. As we prayed about them and examined ourselves, we found the Lord moving us toward a slight course correction. We feel our passion is (and has been) for entrepreneurs, start-ups, and small businesses – to help train them in Kingdom business ways, encourage and counsel them on their journey, and to help fund them as we are led. We also still feel that we need to have a successful Kingdom business as a model and that NTEK can both be this and bless other businesses through digital marketing. So our shift is to focus more initially on Business Intercessors Network and make it a non-profit to help us with our passion and vision.

Please pray for:

  1. That God would order our steps and open doors in creating a non-profit entity and getting a 501(c)(3).
  2. Supernatural wisdom and guidance as we set up BIN and the things it will do.
  3. That we would be able to communicate our hearts and express our passions to open and willing audiences.

Sorry for the length of this particular blog, but we felt it is an important “course correction” we are taking and greatly covet your prayers and any input you have from the Lord.

Prayer for Others

In our reaching out to people last week, we came across several businesses/ministries to pray for. Please lift up these entities with us – asking for God to bless them and to be glorified in them, as well as meeting their specific needs.

  1. Grasshopper Sports – a manufacturer of instructional baseball equipment is looking for investors.
  2. Breathe Life – a developing ministry of rest and restoration for pastors and their families is asking God to provide a retreat center for their ministry.
  3. Above Grade Level In-Home Tutoring – a tutoring franchise is in need of more students to tutor, especially during the summer months.

Engage

Several weeks ago we got the word “ENGAGE”, but didn’t know exactly what to engage in. After waiting and praying through it, God seems to be telling us to engage with people and tell them what we are doing. So we’ve been contacting some people we know that God has put on our hearts to meet with them. This is a little scary for us, as we’re not sure of the reactions we will get. So please pray that:

  1. We will be courageous and offensively minded – taking ground for the Kingdom.
  2. The people we meet with will have open hearts and minds and want to be involved with us as the Lord leads.
  3. Divine connections and opportunities with others to come out of these meeting.

It should be an interesting week. We will let you know how everything goes in a later post. Thanks for your prayers.

Kingdom Funders

We are seeking to partner with Kingdom funders, those people God has led to financially support Kingdom businesses. We desire to receive and release righteous mammon (holy money). Please pray that:

  1. God would connect us with these Kingdom funders.
  2. Any money we receive and release will be a blessing to others.
  3. The money we release would be effective in battling Babylon and raising God’s Kingdom on the Economic (Business) Mountain.

Babylon Continues to Attack

The ancient enemy of the Kingdom, Babylon, continues to attack us with thoughts of fear and to tempt us with the world system’s way of moving forward. We refuse to be drawn back into that and are standing in God’s Kingdom ways, no matter the costs. We trust the Lord and His promises wholeheartedly.

Please pray for:

  1. Wisdom to discern between the two systems and ability to choose God’s Kingdom every time
  2. Strength to battle thoughts and temptations that are thrown at us
  3. Victory over Babylon

God’s Word continues to sustain us, with this verse from Romans 8 being foremost in my thoughts now:

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Revelation

Leslie and I are continually asking God to direct us, as He has promised in His Word to do. We realize sometimes that even includes redirection, where we may have missed hearing Him or interpreted something incorrectly. We are trusting Him to bring this kingdom business to fruition and are desperately seeking God’s input. So please pray with us that God will give us:

  1. Wisdom, counsel, and revelation
  2. Eyes and ears to hear Him
  3. A willing and obedient heart to do what He tells us

Power

We feel the Lord has directed us to pray for the businesses in a specific area (around 290 and Barker Cypress). Similar to the Prayer Circles that Mark Batterson speaks about in his book, The Circle Maker, we are doing some prayer walks and prayer drives around that area, asking God to heal and bless the businesses, people, and land. Please pray that

  1. Our prayers would be effective and powerful.
  2. We would be annointed and empowered by God to heal and bless businesses.
  3. God would be glorified through the blessing of these businesses.
