Left Field

In a surprise move from left field, God has moved Leslie into a full time teaching position with the Aldine school district. It was surprising for us, but God has obviously orchestrated it beginning last year when she decided to get her teaching certificate through an alternative certification program. She passed her tests and began substitute teaching, but God put that out of our hearts and minds for a season. But several weeks ago God brought it back around when Leslie got a call requesting her to come in and interview for an ESL position, which on a whim, she accepted. The Lord just accelerated stuff from there – opening doors, and showing favor in ways that allowed her to finish the course work she needed and get hired on time. She starts work tomorrow (Monday).

We are still a little dizzy at the speed at which this transpired, but feel that it is part of the Lord’s provision for us during this time. I will continue to work on NTEK Creative and our Kingdom Business endeavors and Leslie will help as she is able. Praise God that He is continually moving and directing us!

Good Meetings

During the week we were not able to meet with as many people as we wanted, but the meetings we did have were good! We received encouragement and some great counsel. In one meeting we were challenged by some thoughtful questions which caused us to examine our God-led business desires more deeply and how we might structure things more clearly.

Praise the Lord with us for:

  1. The opportunity we had to “engage” with people and start telling our story.
  2. The godly men and women who were able to encourage and uplift us.
  3. The wise counsel and thought-provoking questions we received.

We thank You, Father, for Your goodness, Your love, and the people you have raised up to intercede and pray for us.

Successful Talk

Saturday evening we were blessed with an opportunity to share our vision of taking the Business Mountain and the ministry of our Kingdom business, NTEK Creative. We met with a small group and Leslie shared with them our heart, along with much praise, revelation, and blessings. Over the course of almost three hours, the Holy Spirit showed up and many of the people were ministered to, and our call to continue was confirmed (although not in the way we expected). Please praise the Lord with us for the work of His body in that group, His revelation and power showing up, and His encouragement and direction.

We also want to thank LD & Syb for hosting the group in their home and for everyone who prayed for us as we sent out our last minute request for prayer support for the meeting.
