Interquest School Services
Every student and staff member should feel safe and secure at school. Drug and contraband deterrence and prevention is a key piece of any school safety protocol and our program is set up to be a friendly, unintimidating, yet effective presence with a focus on keeping contraband off campus through inspections and education
To eliminate the need for multiple canines and to help achieve a less intrusive and more efficient time frame, all our dogs are trained to detect:
Our handlers are employed by Interquest and have received rigorous background checks, licensing and training in both canine handling, searching protocols and drug/contraband identification. All our protocols are based on legal precedents to ensure the campus and staff are fully protected. We never contract out our services to outside individuals or agencies.
**Please note: Our dogs do NOT find explosives – a trained explosives dog is required for a bomb search.
What does a typical campus visit consist of?
Once we have communicated with the program coordinator to understand the goals for the visit, we work within half day or full day time frames where we are committed to the site for the designated duration. Our handlers arrive in inconspicuous vehicles to avoid unwanted attention and are always uniformed in standard company attire. Our dogs are friendly and trained to work within normal school operations, lockdowns are never required, in fact it is encouraged to allow students to see the dogs to provide an added layer of deterrence. We are not affiliated with law enforcement, client is in control of items recovered.
We provide everything from handling the canine, compassionately explaining the process to students identified, conducting physical inspections and identifying potential contraband. In addition, we submit a detailed report to our campus contact of all inspections conducted before departing.
